Welcome to Anthology Counseling!
I am so glad you are here.
My Approach
Deciding to start seeing a counselor can be a scary thing, and no matter who you are, requires immense bravery. I believe we all have a collection of stories that make us who we are, and counseling should feel like a safe place to share that story. I firmly believe that suffering, pain, confusion, and disappointment do not have to have the final word in our stories, so my true passion is to help clients make new meaning within their life experiences. I strive to help my clients feel heard, respected, and valued by creating a non-judgemental and confidential space. It is an honor to be trusted with the stories people have and are striving to create.
As a mental health counselor, I use an eclectic approach, meaning I draw on multiple counseling approaches to best meet the needs of each unique client. The approaches I draw from include Person-Centered Theory, Narrative Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
